Just last week, SSISC’s Banish Burdock program officially opened for volunteer signups! We are so excited to work with new and returning volunteers to banish burdock from Whistler neighborhoods.
In the coming weeks, our volunteers will be busy at work on sections of the Valley Trail network and in other public areas, digging up roots, cutting flowerheads, and removing burs to reduce the negative impact that Burdock has on the environment in Whistler.
Our volunteers have been a tremendous help in previous years, and we are looking forward to seeing all the progress they will make this year.
