Summer team, assemble!

Summer team, assemble!
Summer team, assemble!

After months of planning, we kicked off our summer operations in May, and we are so excited for the months to come!

We recently welcomed our seasonal team – if you see them (either working in the field or at a volunteer event), don’t be a stranger! We love meeting members of our community.

Please welcome SSISC’s seasonal team:

Field Crew Lead Hands:
  • Martina Dorigo
  • James McAllister
  • Catherine Savard
  • Emeril Walton
Field Crew Members:
  • Keira Duckworth
  • Kara Dvernichuk
  • Lindsay Gage
  • Indigo Hill
Education & Outreach Assistant:
  • Tara Brudar

What better way to introduce them to our world than with an impromptu interview… about potatoes!?

That’s right – we asked everyone on our team about their favourite form of potato, and compiled their answers into a short reel. See for yourself:

Meet our summer field team—we’re so excited to have them on board! Of course, we had to kick things off with a very important question: What’s your favourite form of potato? Shout-out to Whistler Community Services and Pemberton Valley Farms for giving away free potatoes last Friday! Now we’ve got potatoes and great recipe ideas 😉 What’s your favourite way to eat potatoes? Let us know in the comments below 👇🥔 FieldStaff Potatoes EnvironmentalNonProfit MeetOurStaff VideoDescription: Different staff members stand in natural spaces on an overcast day and describe their favourite form of potato.
