1. Composting Invasives in UNACCEPTABLE

We hope we’re not screaming into the void – please take care to prevent the spread of invasives!

@ssinvasives

Everything you just saw could increase the spread of invasive species in the Sea to Sky. We hope we’re not repeating ourselves to say it was all UNACCEPTABLE! Here’s what we consider unacceptable in the Sea to Sky: ❌ Composting invasive species ❌ Not following Play Clean Go principles ❌ Not following Clean Drain Dry principles ❌ Not reporting invasive species Don’t make us yell UNACCEPTABLE again! Here’s what you should do instead: ✔️ Put invasive species in the garbage ✔️ Follow Play Clean Go principles ✔️ Follow Clean Drain Dry principles ✔️ Report all invasive species sightings (link on bio) Follow these guidelines to protect the Sea to Sky from invasive species! (Disclaimer: no invasive species were spread in the filming of this video) VideoDescription: Audio of a man yelling “unacceptable” multiple times, paired with clips of a girl putting an invasive plant into the compost, not cleaning plant parts off her bike, not drying off her paddle board, and not reporting invasive species. Does anyone else remember when we binge-watched the Olympics earlier this summer?

3. Mountain Bluet Removal

Okay, this one *technically* isn’t a meme, but it has some super helpful information so we had to throw it in.

@ssinvasives

Have you seen any invasive plants on your walks recently? We certainly have. The only thing better than a mental health walk is a mental health plant removal session! Here’s how to remove invasive plants near you: Step 1: Make sure you are allowed to remove it! If you’re on private property, you need landowner permission before removing. Step 2: Research the plant. Head to our website to find the best removal techniques. Link in bio! Step 3: Remove the plant. Remember to bring a garbage bag with you! Step 4: Dispose of the plant. Invasive plants go in the garbage, NOT the compost! Any questions? Drop us a message in the comments or our DMs 👇 VideoDescription: A woman in athletic wear introduces Mountain Bluet, an invasive blue flowered plant in the Sea to Sky region.
