Join us on April 27th for a weed pull and restoration event in Coho Park, Squamish!
Celebrate Earth Day with us by giving back to nature!
We’re partnering with the Squamish Watershed Society to restore the natural beauty of Coho Park by removing invasive species and supporting native plant growth. Come along for a fun and meaningful way to spend the afternoon!

Event Details:
Where:
When:
Sunday, April 27th, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Who:
Everyone is welcome—bring your friends and family!
What to Expect:
The afternoon will begin with the removal of invasive species, including yellow lamium, English ivy, Himalayan blackberry, and English holly. These species threaten local biodiversity by outcompeting native plants, but with your help, we can make a difference!
No experience is necessary—we’ll provide guidance on plant identification and removal techniques.
Following the weed pull, we’ll focus on restoration. By mulching the cleared areas, we can suppress regrowth and create a healthier environment for native plants to thrive.
What to Bring:
- Water bottle
- Gardening gloves and tools (if you have them – otherwise we have some you can borrow!)
- Weather-appropriate clothing
We hope you will join us for a rewarding afternoon of hands-on environmental conservation! We look forward to seeing you there.
