A recent spotting of the invasive Brown Bullhead Catfish has SSISC featured in an article highlighting the latest observation at Brohm Lake. Unfortunately, this is not the only invasive fish species that can be found in the Sea to Sky corridor, as Goldfish populations have established in a few key water bodies in Whistler. SSISC’s Executive Director, Clare Greenberg, explains in the article by The Squamish Chief both the negative impacts these species could have on our aquatic ecosystems and how a lack of funding greatly limits any action to combat them.
