SSISC Training Programs

Sea to Sky Invasive Species Council (SSISC) training programs are offered in Squamish, Whistler and Pemberton, BC.

Invasive-Free Certification

Relevant to: Landscaping, horticulture and earth-moving companies
Duration: 2 hours
Content: Species recognition and procurement practices, site and species-appropriate control methods, and disposal practices
Cost: Initial Certification is $35 per individual. Re-Certification is $50.00 per company; this is a subsidized fee thanks to funding
from the Community Foundation of Whistler and includes promotion of participating companies, referrals and reduced disposal
rates at the Callaghan Transfer Station in Whistler

Best Practice Field Training

Relevant to: Licensed herbicide applicators or individuals interested in obtaining a herbicide applicators license through the
Province of BC
Duration: 4 hours
